MEET THE WOLFPACK!

At Wolfman’s Canines, we strongly rely on structured socialization with our own pack, for (most) training programs. While we never put a dog in a situation they are not ready for, we also strive to integrate play and time to ‘just be a dog,’ in between more concentrated periods necessary for behavioral modification.

ALL WORK AND NO PLAY OFTEN MAKES FOR A REACTIVE, FEARFUL OR EVEN DANGEROUS DOG!

Malakai

Aaarrrrooooooooo!!! My name is MALAKAI. I'm also often called "Stevie Wander" because I'm blind and like to confidently explore every new place I am in. I always stay close to mom though, she is my seeing-eye human. I wasn't born blind, but instead I have a genetic disorder (called Retinal Atrophy) that caused me to lose my sight around 2 years old. I actually get around so well that most people don't even know I'm blind! I am easy going and curious of all the dogs that come over. My parents have even hired me on as the YOUTH MENTOR! I am told I am especially good at safely correcting the pesky immature puppies that seem to keep coming around.

Isis

(Insert chewbaca-esque “awhoo”)!! My name is ISIS. I am told I am named after the Egyptian Goddess, whatever that means. I am currently one of two acting SOCIALIZATION AMBASSADORS of the pack. I am often the first of the pack to attend evaluations & training sessions. I like to gently show unsure pups how to be more confident of their place in this crazy human world. My parents tell me I lightly walk the line of being dangerously fabulous and impossibly polite. My “awoo” will melt your heart and gravitate all the attention to me without you even realizing it.

Elli

Bark Bark!! My name is ELLI. I have many nicknames due to my eloquent habit of eating just about anything I see fit. Some of names include "Short and Smelly", "Little Yellow Dog" and my personal favorite "Stinky Ass". My cuddles for humans are second to none but dogs dare not invade my personal space. I'm likely to growl, snarl, and eventually move. My bark, however, is worse than my (non-existent) bite. I get along best with puppies. Maybe that is why my parents have promoted me to PUPPY PATROL. I was a rescue from Colorado. My dad saw me sitting in the shelter alone and couldn't leave without me. I wouldn’t trade this job for the world!

Anouk

Woooo-WOOOOO!! My name is ANOUK. I have one blue eye and one brown eye, which humans seem to think is pretty cool for some reason. I also have many nicknames and some are pretty colorful. When I'm being "intelligently disobedient," my parents split my name up. It sounds more like "AYE -Nook", I answer to that the most. I also answer to "Floofy Butt" and "Miss Anouk". I Love getting groomed by little (BIG) brother, Moses, he chews on my neck constantly. Sleeping outside at night is also another one of my favorite things to do. It’s my job to get nervous or socially awkward dogs to loosen up & play, so my parents have given me the title of COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIRECTOR. I am persistent and determined enough to get any dog coming through Wolfman’s Canines to find their inner playful side. What is the point of all this, if we aren’t having fun after all?

Moses

Woof- WOOF!! I go by MOSES, aka "Big Head", "Mr. Moses", and every now and then I get a "MR. Big Head!" I have a large noggin apparently. I'm told it's because of how smart I am. I am best at following my parents around to see if I can help with anything. This is why I now have the title of ASSISTANT TO THE REGIONAL TRAINER. I love going up to my dad to give him the best puppy dog eyes I can muster, and if we're in the car, I'll boop him with my big snoot. This is my way of checking in when he is stressed out. My enormous wet nose is a great way to get him to re-focus. He needs this focus because every day, he keeps finding so many new dogs to train and rehabilitate! I think my job is the best in the world.

MILO

Yip Yip!! MILO here! I am the newest pack member of the WC crew! While I am still figuring out how to fit in within the pack here, I know for certain that I love meeting all the new pups that come through! I am told my sweet, submissive and always cheerful energy is what makes other dogs so comfortable around me. But really, I just love to have fun and make a game out of any and everything I can (my dad’s baseball cap for example, what a great chase game!). Despite being the youngest member of the WC pack, I have very quickly become a reliable SOCIAL AMBASSADOR. Best job ever!
